At The EDGE Foundation, we believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty and creating lasting change. Since 2018, we have been providing free education and educational support to disadvantaged children who would otherwise have little or no access to schooling. Our goal is to create safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environments where every child can develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to build a brighter future. By investing in education today, we are helping to transform lives for generations to come.
Education for Vulnerable Communities
For many families living in poverty, education remains out of reach. Children are often forced into labour, while many adults have never had the opportunity to learn basic reading, writing or numeracy skills. To address these challenges, The EDGE Foundation provides educational programmes that:
- Deliver free education for disadvantaged children.
- Provide alternative learning opportunities for children unable to attend mainstream schools.
- Offer basic literacy and numeracy classes for adult labourers, helping them improve financial literacy, gain confidence and reduce their vulnerability to exploitation.
- Create safe and supportive learning spaces where women can share experiences, develop new skills and encourage one another.
Through these initiatives, we are restoring hope and helping vulnerable communities build a better future through education.
Home School Programme
Many children living in remote communities, brick kiln settlements and urban slums are unable to attend school because their families cannot afford transport, school fees, uniforms or learning materials. To ensure these children are not left behind, The EDGE Foundation established the Home School Programme—a flexible learning initiative that brings education directly to children in their own communities.
The programme provides:
- A structured, age-appropriate curriculum.
- Free textbooks and learning materials.
- Regular support from qualified teachers.
- A safe and flexible learning environment for children unable to attend traditional schools.
By removing financial and practical barriers to education, the Home School Programme enables children to continue learning and develop the skills they need to achieve their full potential.
